Introducing ourselves

West Coast Consultancy is led by Jan Joosten and Jeroen Bogaers. We have been friends and business associates for over 25 years. As the former CEO and CFO of Libra Energy BV, respectively, we have acquired extensive international business experience and embrace the challenges of entrepreneurship. Of course, we are also familiar with overcoming setbacks. We've made our share of poor judgments and mistakes and understand the meaning of stress. We chose to learn the hard way. As a result, we can now assist in preventing you from making the same errors or help you remain resilient when faced with difficulties. We are passionate about steering you in the right direction. We will work with the resources available and assist in creating what is necessary.


Our specialization lies in trade, distribution, and EPC services that advance the energy transition. We excel in sustainability, yet we also take delight in engaging with diverse industries such as fashion and mobile energy solutions. Jeroen's specialities

Jeroen Bogaers is a seasoned financial expert with a profound interest in all aspects of business. His high level of engagement and enthusiasm for ratios, KPIs, and dashboards make him an invaluable sparring partner for entrepreneurs, corporate boards, and key executives.

Jan's specialities

Jan Joosten is an entrepreneur through and through, with a fervent passion and extensive experience in international business. He favors innovation and pioneering, believing that real progress occurs not within the confines of a boardroom, but out in the field, engaging with customers. In his view, the act of dreaming big and thinking grandly are essential for genuine ambition.

Our initial meeting is designed as a Chemistry Session, culminating in an inaugural Company Scan. At the outset of our collaborative venture, it's crucial to ascertain if we are the ideal fit for you. Subsequently, we commence our work. We specialize in providing customized solutions, eschewing a one-size-fits-all methodology. In partnership, we will identify the paths that best align with your needs and chart a course towards your future goals.


As Business Coaches, we are both constructive and critical. We act as your sparring partners, relishing the opportunity to exchange ideas with you. Our approach is dedicated and collaborative. We assist you in selecting your path forward, defining your objectives, and crafting your strategies. Our experience has taught us that structured, clear, and concise planning, along with a disciplined approach to implementation, is vital for the success of any enterprise.


We employ the OKR goal-setting method (Objectives & Key Results) to assist your organization in focusing, clearly defining targets, prioritizing, making informed choices, and executing plans as intended and within the set timeframe.

A good strategy is characterized by its ability to precisely diagnose the problem being addressed, establish a guiding policy to tackle that problem, and outline a set of coherent actions that will implement the policy.?

A robust working strategy is characterized by deliberate, well-founded, and explicit decisions. These decisions must cater to market demands, be in harmony with the company's strengths (which underpin competitive advantage), and outline a vision for the company's enduring success.

Our coaching program might look as follows:

  • Virtual Coaching involves bi-weekly sessions on Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet, each lasting approximately one hour.
  • In-person coaching includes face-to-face meetings every quarter.
  • Brainstorming Session: An annual budget and business plan review, focusing on strategic assessment.
  • We provide support with strategic, commercial, and financial advice.
  • Inclusive preparation and reflection time are required for meetings to be effective and efficient.
  • For AFAS and EXACT users, we offer optional, clear dashboarding that presents relevant KPIs and ratios.
